LOS ANGELES

Venice Beach

The famous Hollywood sign.

Venice Beach It was a beautiful day in Venice Beach. The beach extends to Santa Monica and Malibu.
That's my friend Martin in the convertible.
Some sunbathers in Venice Beach. It was a weekday so the beach wasn't as busy as it is on weekends.
Just a shot to prove that I've been to Hollywood.
And Martin too.
The walk of fame on Hollywood Boulevard. Never-heard names outnumber those I recognize, though.
The Chinese Theater, one of the old landmarks of Hollywood. It's just beside the Kodak Theater where the Oscar Awards is held annually.
A candid picture of Martin enjoying a barefoot walk on Venice Beach.
Still at Venice Beach. We spent an entire day on the beach and the lunch at one of the Italian restaurants was great.
The front of Santa Monica Place mall designed by famous Toronto-born architect Frank Gehry.
The popular Third Street promenade in Santa Monica. It leads right to the opposite entrance of the mall.
In front of the Santa Monica pier. We stayed in Santa Monica during our stay in Los Angeles.
The Venice canal which is meant to imitate the Italian city of the same name. Water is not as abundant in Los Angeles as in its European counterpart though. Still, beautiful expensive houses line the banks of the man-made canal network.
An interesting display in one of the stores on Third Street Promenade. The robots are made from junk auto and motorcycle parts.
